Now that the Clinton Wars are over – and especially since McCain just tried to sell us the Republican version of a feminist – I gotta defend Hillary. Until recently I was a fan of our former First Lady. In my heart I still am. She lost me with the vote on Iraq and never won back my trust.
That said, even her adversaries have to admit, that Hillary is brilliant, she is dedicated, she does her homework. She was qualified. Love her or hate her - that's a pretty big pantsuit to fill. I will simply not allow this Edith Bunker (All in the Family) version of a modern woman to try to steal Hillary’s thunder. Let her earn her own respect if she can. So in honor of our girl Hillary, in recognition of the fact that she always puts "country first," in appreciation of that speech that "rocked" the Democratic Convention and to celebrate the opening of the Republicant Convention – I opened up the way back machine and pulled out this old tribute to our girl.
